Aaaaa pis oublez pas que les sofilanthropes on changé de page facebook... http://fr-fr.facebook.com/pages/Les-Sofilanthropes/183244645052015 ----------------------- THE STEADY SWAGGER: Throw your worries in a sack ‘cause The Steady Swagger will have you stomping like twins with wagon hoppin' soundscapes worthy of the toughest frontier living. Carving smiles and dropping jaws since the dawn of 2011, The Steady Swagger have been kicking up dust through Montreal's pubs, bars, and bistros. The trio consists of three guys with a strict post folk shuffle agenda. Guitarist/vocalist Pi disarms the audiences with great gravelly hooks and lures out the want to sing and holler out while double bassist/vocalist Mat Lacombe bellows out raw basslines reminiscent of a playful narrator at a Whoville horror show. The ensemble is complete with percussionist Andrew Blakney whose steady organic shuffle is as mesmerizing as his curiously intriguing character. Armed with brushes, a cardboard box and duct tape Blakney makes it possible for the trio to be amongst the most interestingly mobile bands in Montreal that is never too loud. --------------- Ol' SAVANNAH : Ol' Savannah plumbs the depths of old-time mountain music, returning lovers of Americana to the porches of Piedmont, the sweaty dens of 19th-century Atlanta, and the sultry streets of New Orleans. Banjo and accordion back the gritty vocals of their songs of life, death and redemption.
